Spicy Noodles

Asian

Ingredients
1 pound chow mein noodles
2 tablespoons Mama Janisse's Chili Pepper Paste
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 tablespoon ginger, minced or grated
2 tablespoons mirin wine

2 teaspoons peanut or vegetable oil for frying


Optional – Snow peas, chopped bok choy, sliced scallions or vegetable of your choice.
 
Steps
1 Cook noodles according to package directions. Drain well.

2 Make noodle sauce: Mix chili paste, sesame oil, soy sauce, ginger and mirin. Set aside.

3 Heat peanut oil in wok. If using vegetables, cook these first then remove from pan.

4 Add noodles to wok and stir fry, adding a little oil if necessary.

5 When edges of noodles begin to brown, add sauce and toss.

6 Toss with optional vegetables and serve.
