| Crab Boil
French Zatarains

| Zatarains makes a blend of herbs to put in water when boiling crab or shrimp. Use 3 tablespoons of this mix per boil. |

| Ingredients |
|
4 tablespoons mustard seeds
3 tablespoons coriander seeds
1 tablespoon red pepper flakes
1 tablespoon dill seeds
8 bay leaves
1 teaspoon whole cloves
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon thyme

Steps

| 1 | Combine in a mortar and pestle. Partly pulverize, leaving many of the seeds and leaves intact. |
| | 2 | Seal in airtight jars. Keep in dark, cool storage. |

|
NOTE Depending on each herb's availability and freshness, it may take different proportions to get the mix you like. Fresh marjoram is optional.
