    | The Kona Village Mai Tai was created by Mr. Kono, one of the original bartenders at Kona Village Resort in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii. We saw the recipe in Bon Appetit, tried it, loved it, went to Hawaii to try one in person, have returned to Kona Village every year since!
