Congo Bars

American

Ingredients
2/3 cups butter, melted and cooled
2 1/4 cups brown sugar
3 eggs
2 3/4 cups flour
2 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup chocolate chips
1 cup pecans (optional)
 
Steps
1 Preheat oven to 350°F

2 Mix together butter and brown sugar. Beat in eggs.

3 Sift flour, baking powder, and salt. Add to egg mixture.

4 Mix chocolate chips and nuts into flour mixture.

5 Press mixture into 10x15-inch baking sheet. Bake for 25 minutes until lightly golden.

6 Cool and cut into bars.
