Joannas Sweet & Spicy Black Beans

Caribbean

Ingredients
2 onions medium sized minced
5 garlic cloves, minced
1 jalapeño, minced
1/4 cup Safflower oil
1 red pepper
2 tablespoons rum
1 teaspoon cumin
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 pound black beans cooked
1 cilantro bunch chopped - no stems
 
Steps
1 Saute onions & jalapeño until tender.

2 Add garlic & red pepper.

3 Cook beans and add rum, cumin, and sugar.

4 Mix all and add cilantro at the end.
